hey guess drove my car to work this morning and it drove awesome nice firm shifts no problems. went to lunch and decided to put on the linkage correction bracke that i had got for my holley no problems. but now it wont shift out of first gear what the heck i treid and retried to adjust the tv cable it is fine. dropped the pan the cable is alright, plunger seems ok the lever is not bent or broken what the hell. im fed up it is almost winter here so im pressed for time. if probuilt or someone know what this is please let me no, there was some black in teh bottom of the pan (friction) but the trans was fine like 2 hours earlier so what would just let go that fast??? governer? tv???

If this happened all at once, then most likely it is the governor gear, broke or stripped. Take out the governor and replace the gear.

 

i checked the govorner this morning wights moved freely and gear looked fine i replaced the tv spring whil i was in there gonna replace the other stuff that came in my transgo sk kit but what could have casued this??? i am confused and it is getting cold here ahhhhhh running out of time

but i did check the govorner and it was ok visually, there was quite a bit of clutch material in the bottom of the pan but fluid was ok? so im not sure if the black is clutch or just a byproduct of the lucas oil transmission stuff.... any other suggestions
