TCC slipping? Already did search cant find a similar problem..
Hey guys, just a quick question or 2 about slippage. This is my first auto car and I'm not sure if it's behaving properly. When I'm driving at like 35 and I hit the gas, the engine speed goes up from about 1400 to about 1800 before the car starts accelerating. i know that the tcc is slipping if you can spike it over 600 rpm without the car accelerating.
So my question is: how do i tell if my tcc or transmission is slipping? I dont even know if there is a problem or if it's just not supposed to lock up under acceleration like that...
And I dont know how often the fluid was changed, but it's a little brown, but doesnt smell burnt at all.
Sometimes when I stomp on it it feels kinda like it is slipping, but the revs dont go way up like they would when the clutch would slip on my last car... help?
