Tranny dies. 700R4 Th350 lenght tail adapter HELP

I just recently destroyed again my transmission. I need to install a Th350 inplace of my burnt 700R4. I need to know where I can get the kit to mount the tailhousing of the 700r4 to my short Th350 tail tranny. I would apreciate it more than you can imagine. I did some searching and found a couple of threads about it but they never mentioned were i could get the kit. They were to buisy fighting :-) LOL.

Thanks again

That is the kit you need. If you follow this link, I have pictures on the first page of how mine looked. Ignore the stupidity in the thread, there were people that didnt understand the purpose of it. One guy kept complaining that his way was better, to just eliminate the torque arm and use lift bars. The whole point of this kit is to retain all stock equipment and allow the th350 to be a complete bolt in.

I did read it. They guy seemed like he was totally confused as to what the kit does. We cant all have brains! :-) I saw the pictures on your previous post and loved the kit.

Also what do you think of a 3000rpm torque converter. Any sugestions on what i can get away with as far as build up of th350. (worth it to get a hardened race). Ive used th350 all the time and love them. Its for a blown motor with much torque.

On my Freshly rebuilt (stock) 700R4 (better bands etc than stock) vette servo. etc it ran well. But i decided to go WOT and it shifted from 3 down to 2 took off like a bat out of hell. and then THUMP. Lost 3/4, and took out my tranny mount LOL!!! I love 700R4. They seem to like 575lbs of torque :0

Thanks again for your time and information!

i bought the b@m kit for my car and had a new driveshaft made. it will cost you $60-70 , but you prob need new u-joints anyway. my th350 was the best modification i did to my gta and my camaro.you can build two tough 350's for the price of one strong 700. my only mistake was not putting a bigger converter in. i went with a 2400 b@m and i should have done a 3000-3200. the 2400 goes to 2800rpm , but i could have made more tq to the wheels with the bigger converter. as it stands , with no vss(!) it put down 356tq at 2000rpm.

Yeah, I dont have much use for the 700r4 myself, I would rather spend less and have a better trans! If you are making real good power go with as big of a stall as you feel comfortable. I went with a 2500 and wish I would have got at least a 3000 maybe even a 3500.
