Monte SS rear end

I have buddy that will sell me his Monte Carlo SS rear end for cheap. It's a 7.5" out of an '86 and i am looking to swap it into my '89..... Is this an easy swap that will just bolt right up? Thanks

maybe if it was from a 87 GNX....that would be fun

like ede said, the same weak rear as our thirdgens...also no place for a torque arm

All 78-88 Montes received the 7.5 with 26 spline axles. It's way narrower than the third gen rear and not worth doing when there are tonnes of 82-up housings out there.
