help me choose a cooler...

trans is in, hooking everything up... need to put in a cooler so help me out here. (suggestions) was looking at one in jegs, the "perma-cool" thin line for 20k gvw vehicle... probably the one i'm gonna go with, unless someone can recommend otherwise. my trans was rebuilt, btw, and has about a 2100 stall converter in it now.

I had a Dr. Evil cooler on my old 4x4 Blazer, it was great. I got it from Streeet Rods by Michael in Tennessee and it came with an electric fan and went on pretty easily. It was around $120 if I remember right.

What all do you have done to your car to warrant a tranny cooler though?

I have a 383 stroker in my street car with a lot of work done to it. I just have a mildly biult 700 and just the stock cooler in the radiator and I haven't had any trouble. If I was you, I wouldn't worry about an auxilery cooler unless your radiator isn't equipped for an automatic. It's extra insurance, but in my opinion, extra cash you could spend elsewhere. If you do get one, the one I described above was great in my old K5. Good luck either way.
