2.77 to 3.27 worth doing?

I currently have a 2.77 9 bolt in the car, and a 3.27 9 bolt at a friends house. The 3.27 was out of a parts car, and I decided not to use it, and hold out for a 3.45/42 or a 3.70/73. With a tight budget, and If Mongoose doesn't buy it , I'm thinking about just swapping it in.

Is it worth it to only go to a 3.27, or should I hold out for better?

Once you have a series three rear you can always swap the gears out for bigger ones later. I say yes if thats all you got otherwise I would save for a 12 bolt or ford 9 inch...

Anything would be better then those 9 bolt 2.77 gears. I say swap 'em out.

I just swapped out my 2.77's for my 9 bolt 3.27's and it was really worth it.My take offs are quiker, mph's went up a little,I live in a town with a lot of stop lights. Not to mention my burnouts are more fun now.
