2004R Trans

Here's a question for those of you with knowledge of trans swaps. I am wanting to put a modified 2004R trans that will stand up to some abuse. The trans I'm looking at will stand up to 500horse and about 450lb. ft. of torque. Now before you say go to a 700R4 there's a reason for my maddness. First of all I'm currently using a turbo 350 that is modified and takes the abuse quite nicely, but since changing to 3.73 gears I would really like to get to go to an overdrive trans. for better cruising rpm's. My car is an 82 Z-28 that originally came with a 200 metric 3 speed auto with the lock up convertor. It didn't last at all behind the 355 i have in the car. Now to the question, what will it take to put a 2004R in our cars? It is dimensionally the same as my 350 turbo so my drive shaft will fit without modifications. How can I mount my torque arm? Will the kit that I have on the 350 turbo to mount the torque arm work on the 2004R? I'm ready to order this trans. but want to make sure I can mount everything. Thanks!!

since the 200r4 is the same size it will bolt it, but youll need a custom torque arm and crossmember, spohn sells em as a kit together. the driveshaft should work so ive been told, but you may wanna measure just in case.
