7.5 vs 7.65 rears ???

7.5 vs 7.65 rears ???
Just wondering..... I have a 7.5 rear, I would like to use all
new axles, posi, gears from 7.65 rear and still retain the original
housing. I know both rears arent the strongest but if I rebuild
why not use the slightly bigger stuff? P.S. called GM rear housings
82-90 are the same.

about the only differance in a 7.5 and 7.62 is the arrangement of the numbers, sort of like the differance between limited slip and positraction. just GMs way of keeping us on the ball, or adding to the confusion.
