I have an 87 gta with a 700r4 tranny. I have read alot, and understand everything regarding the t56 conversion for the 700r4, but I havent read anything affirmative on a zf-6s conversion. I am wondering if it is possible and what major mods are required, or how similar this procedure is to the t56swap. I can get my hands on a very cheap 96 corvette zf-6s tranny is why I ask this. I just can't stop thinking about a 6 speed in my gta. So if anyone has any advice on the matter, I would love to hear it...Mainly to decide whether or not to buy the zf tranny-thanks-Dale

 

Welcome to the board. Do a search, and you'll find out that its hard to do and requires quite a bit of work.
