9-bolt vs. 10-bolt

Okay, I'm still a newbie, so what's the deal with the Borg-Warner 9-bolt? I have one, and what's the big differences between the two? Do I still need a c-clip eliminator kit? Are the gear ratios different? Which is stronger? I went to 9bolt.com, it had some good information but I still got questions.

9-bolt is much stronger, but parts cost a lot more for it. also, I've heard the posi is more prone to wear and needs to be serviced and slightly modified to be trouble free.

10 bolts have a 7.5 or 7.625" ring gear, the 9 bolts have a larger 7.75" ring gear. 9 bolts have 4 spider gears in the carrier and 10 bolts have 2;

Do I still need a c-clip eliminator kit?
9 bolts don't have C clips in them so no, you don't. The 9 bolt axles are retained by the 4 bolts on the axle flange;

Are the gear ratios different?
Yes. Here's some examples:
10 bolt ratios: 2.73, 3.23, 3.42, 9 bolt ratios: 2.77, 3.08, 3.27, 3.45;

Which is stronger?
9 bolt due to the larger ring gear and 4 spider gears.
