How much stall for my combo?

Hi everyone,

I need help deciding on a stall converter for my truck. I use it for 99% daily driving and the other 1% is towing.

It's a GMC C1500 full size truck. Weighs in at about 5000lbs. Has a SB 350, trick flow heads, pocked ported, valves de-shrouded, comp magnum 280 cam, 230/230 @0.050, 280 adv, .480" lift. Headers, dual exhaust, and ported and polished TPI. Should make close to 375 ponies.

Behind it is a TH350 Lock-up transmission with a 10 bolt 2.73 diff.

In the next few weeks I'm going to pull that 10 bolt and install a freshly re-built 12-bolt 3.42 diff and wanted to get a good stall converter to match.

I was thinking 2500 lock-up?

Should I go higher?

Thanks,

HowdyDuty

Comrpession is around 9:1 and it's a stock intake, but has been ported and polished.

call the manufacturer and tell them what you have and answer any questions they may have of you...they can tell you exactly what you need.
