I am not refering to joe schmoe selling a trans. But there appears to be 3 or 4 "professional" builders on there and I was wondering if anyone bought one from one of these builders. Mostly looking for a reputable builder. All the ones around here want way to much $

Edit...I bought one it was junk, when it started grinding going into third. After 3 months i changed my mind about them. They laffed i missed the warranty. so i will have to say the customer service sucks as well.
I guess when your handing people money they are a little more customer friendly.

Rob is the manager very personable guy i think if i had a problem he would work it out with me. I only paid 495.00 (got lucky and won the auction)for mine plus traded a few good cores for a 2000+ stall convertor. The convertor works great for my setup. The tranny shifts firm wouldnt want it any firmer for my daily driver. No leaks and has worked great so far only have about 5000 miles on the tranny so i cant say how it will hold up long term. My 406 puts out over 425ftlbs of torque to the rears so its not the easiest on trannys.

It sounds like we have close to the same set up(406 superram trickflow heads). But I havent put 5000 miles on mine in the last 8 years. Did you get the one he advertises that handles up to 450 HP? I know I am not over 450hp but its the torque I am worried about.
