2 or 3 series carrier

Im about to place my order, and wanted to avoid a potential waste of money / time.

I was wanting to replace my peg-legged '91 F-body's standard open diff with an Eaton Posi type. Its a L03 with a manual transmission which originally had 3.08's.

Which carrier series type is in this car ? I've had 3.72's installed and now back to 3.25's so I was under the assumption it was a 3 series -- but the tech at summit told me 3.08 was a 2 series carrier. thx.

Well, most places I've called so far say it's a two series.

Doesn't look like Eaton makes one for my appplication.

The Eaton Posi 30 spline 8-1/2 G.M. 10 bolt will fit all ratios from 2.73 thru 5.57. Problem is there are on back order for several weeks. If you cannot locate one, or wait for one, try the Auburn Posi, they go for $290.00.
