Ten bolt blueprints, need specs

Any body got a drawing they can post with the outer specifications/dimentions of the housing/perches/brackets for the third gen f-body 10 bolt rear end?

I did a search and came up with nothing here or on the net.

Thanx ahead of time.

I have an 8.5 10 bolt off a 96 Impala SS with disc brakes and a posi. I don't know the gear ratio yet, it is a 4:56 or lower gear (its on a dirt track Monte SS and its been rebuilt and the gear changed) so I will have to install a 3:73, no biggie.

I want to narrow it to fit under my 87 T/A, and when I do it, I want the exact location of all the brackets and the width of the rear with the proper pinion location so I get it right the first time.

I'd use a 9" but the 8.5 was free, and all I got to put into it is a gear, custom axles, and re-drill the rotors to fit the new axles with the smaller bolt pattern if required (we have a bridgeport at work and I will try to drill them myself first).

If I recall correctly, Mark Williams catalog contained the illustrations you are looking for. Not certain though.

if that's all you're doing i'd build a jig around the 3rd gen rear and use that to swap brackets over. wouldn't worry about measurments.

I have seen a post where a guy did that, I was planning on doing it too, I just wanted to have all the info so that I could double check everything.

I agree the prints are not needed, but I just wanted to have them for reference.
