200R4 Vs. 700R4

Car: 1987 Trans am 5.7 TPI

Engine: 5.7 TPI

Transmission: 700R4

200R4 Vs. 700R4

i need to know if these drive shafts are the same length for the 700R4 to a turbo350 swap that my friend is doing he was told to use a 200R4 drive shaft i thought i heard somewhere that they were the same size.... could some one please help me answer this...

Axle/Gears: 3.73:1

if its a short tail turbo 350 then yes theyre the same length

same length as what?? the 200R4 is the same as the 700R4??

A 200-4r has an overall length of 28 1/4 inches from the bell surface to the end of the tailshaft housing.

a 700r4 has 30 in.

A TH350 has a case lehgth of 21 5/8, and can use a 6,9, or 12 in. tailshaft.
