differential question

Hello,
Just wanted to know if someone could tell me what differential I have in my t/a. I have a 1987 GTA with the 350 posi rear end and disc brakes out back. Just wanted to know the ratio.

Thanks

Pull the cover and count the teeth. That is the only sure way to tell.

if you put the car up on stands and pull the cover the ring gear has the ratio on it. no need to count teeth unless it is not the factory gm reat end

later and

Well if that is the stock engine with the stock rear end then you should have a borg warner 9 bolt rear with 3.27 gears. The back cover of the differential should have a white sticker on it with 3 numbers and/or letters. If you have the 3.27 then it will be 4EU. If the number is something else than you would have to look it up on the internet.

Like vbmike said. If it is a 9-bolt, it should have tags attached to the cover like these. You just have to take a look.
