Does anyone know where I can get a new posi unit for my 9-Bolt Borg-Warner rear end. I have looked on Eaton and Auburn websites and have found nothing. Anywhere you might know that I could get a part like this would really help.

9bolt.com quote from his web site(all new parts unless stated)
The package price for a new posi unit, new 3.73 gear set, install kit* and delivery is $895 (lower 48) - New series 3 posi unit is $475 delivered (L48) - New gear set 3.7x is $335 ($475 w/ install kit*) delivered (L48)
Look on ebay for used ones but i'd buy new if i were you. I just bought 3.73 gears and a 3 series carrier and install kit. hope this helps

Thanks for the help but I got a few more questions now.
On that website, you can buy new posi brake cones. Would that make my posi unit like brand new? How hard is it to rebuild those posi units? Would it be worth my time or should I just buy a whole new one?

im gonna try and E mail you this PDF on rebuilding the 9 bolt carrier.
That article is great, that will be a lot of help if I decide to rebuild it. But I'm still unsure if I should rebuild it.

Miles is still there, but he is very hard to get ahold of sometimes. He does have most all of the parts, and service stuff for the 9Bolts. Sometimes you have to convince him you are serious about a purchase. I guess in the past to many wasted his time with idle promises, and because of the limited call for his parts, and services, he has the buisness as a second job only. If you are serious, and keep trying he will help you, and then be very reliable even after a sale.

well if you look into any catalog to order gears you'll notice it says 10bolt 7.65/7.75
10-bolt is same a 9 bolt.
10-bolt is same a 9 bolt.
no a 9 bolt cannot use anything from a 10 bolt. a 10 bolt came in 7.5 and 7.625 measurements. a 9 bolt is 7.75. event the caliper mounting plates are different where they mount to the axle housing.
ebven the seals on the axles are diff. there is a right and left seal.

you can tighten the posi unit by shimming the cones.
I sell the shims to do it.
I have tightened mine, and it works great.
about 15 - 20 people on this board has brought shims from me, and I have never heard 1 negative comment.....
the article on how to do it is buried on this board somewhere.
