Kinda a backwards tranny question..
I know that this question has been posed in many ways many many times... I just want to be sure that I am understanding everything that I have read correctly before I get going on this.
I am swapping an older 700r4 (with a rebuild kit installed) into my car which now currently has a 700r4 from 1992. Therefore I have an electronic speedo. Can I pull the "VSS" (which i'm assuming stands for Variable Speed Sensor) out of my current tranny when I start the swap and install it into the older one?
I appologize for asking this as I know it has been talked about many times, but I have done my searching and I am still confused.

YES. Swap it out. Be sure to check the color of the speedometer gear on the output shaft. It should be the same as the gear on the 92 trans. If not swap them too.
