TCI or Painless?
I'm getting ready to order a TC Lockup Kit to install on my 700r4 tranny. I'm not sure which company to order it from. I've got it down to either the TCI Lockup Kit or the Painless Wiring Lockup Kit . I'm leaning towards the one from Painless. Will this work well with my setup.
BTW...my setup is a L69 305 w/ Holley 600 Carb, GM Performance Manifold, MSD Distributor, No EGR, No Cat, No smog pump, No computer, and Dynomax exhaust

Both kits contain some parts you don't really need, or already have. It's pretty easy to do it yourself without a kit using a few parts available from the dealer, not to mention cheaper.

Your transmission might have a VSS to drive the speedometer already, I don't know. Exactly what you need will depend on what wiring your car still has, and what the wiring inside your transmission looks like. Check here for a start: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=230910
