rear axle bearing removal

Most common is to use a 3 jaw slide hammer. The 3 jaws collapse to fit through the ID of the bearing, then once through, they are expanded to catch the inside bearing race. then the tool has a slide hammer you slide/sling outward very quickly. Eventually, this will get the bearing out.

Others have used a long pipe. put in from the opposite side axle bearing ID, until it rests agains the inside of the bearing on the opposite side of the axle. Striking the pipe with a hammer while carefully keeping the pipe end on te bearing in place can also pop the bearing out.
