rocking rearend please help
Hi all, iv a few problems with my firebird, first off i know i need to do my tranny mount but im not convinced its the sorce of my problem just makes it more noticable, when driving if i put my foot a down it feels like the rear axle is moving the wheels forward and backwards like the first time you drove a stick shift lol, also does it when i let of the gas and the engine is slowing the car down(must look like wayne from waynes world listening to bohemian rapsody lol) seriously though its geeting on my ****. like i said im in the middle of sorcing parts so i can fit the early style trans mount with es poly bushes but im convinced theres somthing up with the rear end, also feels like its not really attached to the car.
for your information its a 92 firebird 3.1 v6 with t5.
As im in the uk there isnt a shop(store) that i can just walk in to to buy parts so i have to rely on peeps like sumit to send it to me hence why its taking so long to just sort out my trans mount. im sure it will make things better when i change it .
what busshes/mounts should i look for as i dont have a manual and i am used to working on old british cars.

If your torque arm setup is the same as an automatic, like mine, the torque arm mount sounds like the culprit here.. could be other things along with this also, maybe lower control arm bushings? try laying under the car and moving the torque arm.. it shouldnt have much if any play.. also try moving the lower control arms. thats about all I can think of. Hope you find the problem-Chris
