5.0 shifter with a 4th gen console?

5.0 shifter with a 4th gen console?
does anyone have this setup? i did a search and could only find that the B&M shifter will crack the console. anyone know if the 5.0 shifter will do this too?

I can confirm only that the Hurst Billiet works and fits just fine....
