BTW, did you fill it from the shifter or did you use the fill hole on the side?
My mechanic used the fill hole and it only took two quarts.

I filled from the shifter area. But I took the fill plug out the side and poured. I belive it took around 3'ish to fill to that hole though.
Also, it may have never drained ALL the fluid out when it was pulled. I think the 3.5 is from a fresh rebuild or install.

I just rebuilt my WC T-5 and it takes exatly 3 quarts to be up to the fill plug. You can pour it in either through the shifter or the side plug.
