yukon posi & axles?
yukon posi & axles?
has anyone heard or tried these axles? I know they are used by off-road guys but they make a 33spline posi unit for 12bolt car, that has 800lb preload springs and its the same price as the moroso brute strength. which is only 30 spline. It looks like a good deal from what I've found but didn't know if any of you guys have heard anthing about it. it's also got 18 steel pack clutches, so iguess the only diffrence is the clutch packs. My car will retain the c-clip style, and it'll run probably high to mid 11's just wondering if 33splines is needed, might spray it in the future also. The guy from gearsareus.com he's got a gn the runs low 11's on c-clips and 30splines but it's a auto and no transbrake, mines a stick so i'd think the launch to be a bit harder on mine than his?

Can't say about the limit slip unit, but I bought and installed Yukon axles in my 1988 camaro. Very nicely built IMO. Good machining, good steel. If the rest of thier parts are as good as these axles then they wouldnt be a prob with anything they make.
Here's a pic of one of the new yukon axles next to the stock ones....
