converter locking up too quickly

Im having a problem with my torque converter. It is locking up too quickly when in drive. It will stall the car when starting from a stop. If i manually shift it works fine, but as long as the car is in drive it locks up. Is this a problem with the computer, transmision, or what.

Sounds like you may have a stuck TCC solenoid, or a short in the TCC solenoid wiring. This may cause the TCC to engage as soon as the transmission shifts into 2nd gear.
