clutch / flywheel problem

Pressure plate wont fit flywheel! I just bought a T-5 setup from a 91', and it came with a center force clutch. Anyways, i have an 85' with a two piece rear main, and i got a new fly wheel (i knew the one from the 91 wouldnt fit) And the pressure plate is too small and wont bolt up (not even close) What is wrong? Did i get the wrong flywheel, or is the clutch setup from a 1 piece car different from a two oiece car? HELP ME ASAP!

Sounds like you got the larger 168-tooth flywheel set up for the 11" clutch. The 91 uses a 153-tooth flywheel setup for a 10.4" clutch

I am going to pm you I live in Streamwood not far from you I might be able to help you out

If you have a T5 bellhousing (trans pattern is tilted 18 degrees to the left) and the starter fits your flywheel, then you have a 153 tooth flywheel.

No, they did NOT change the clutch specs from 1985 to 1986 when they went one-piece RMS.

You probably do have the 168 flywheel from the sounds of it.
