Engine: a slow one
Transmission: a crunchy one
Axle/Gears: a whiny one
Performance = Noise

That's just how it is...

I wouldn't worry about it, and would start asking "what are the STRONGEST aftermarket gears?"

I couldn't answer that either though... I just kind of posted this hoping someone else would come in and answer me. lol

Wrong, US Gears are very strong & quiet, where as Richmond tend to make more noise even with the correct contact pattern. Factory is hard to beat in the majority of cases, especially when set up right.

noise equalling preformance is one of the smarter things i've seen posted here in a while. the reason richmonds whine is the way the gears are cut. the reason they're cut the way they are is because richmond believes they add strength to the gear. i like richmonds, but there's nothing wrong with any of the other gear makers.

For a stock rear I like Motive They make gears for GM .. the richmonds do make noise but like what was said above its the way they are cut ..
