I know in the 1-2 shift of a 700R4 you have a big reduction in gear size. I have also heard that having a good converter will "eliminate" the bad effects of this. Can anyone please explain? Also, how do the Vigilante converters compare to the Yanks? Thanks in advance.

If you have enough stall, you'll be back below stall speed when you shift into second so your engine can stay up in its powerband.
