The "Mystery Mount" on a 92 RS 5-Spd... HELP

I busted the transmission mount in half on my 3.1 V6 Camaro. Its a 1992 RS with a 5 spd manual, and I've been banging it around pretty hard lately (looking forward to a V8 swap, lol).

I have never seen trans mounts like this on a Camaro. It's a normal enough one piece crossmember, but the mount is scooted over more towards the passenger side, it's round (not cubed), and about three inches tall. It looks like it may have been a hydraulic mount.

Upon further research, they are NOT AVAILABLE anymore.

They came on 1990 to 1992 5 speeds only, and due to the rarity of the need for the part I guess it is not economically feasible for anyone to make them.

NUMEROUS stores have told me they have them in stock, but upon time for picking it up the thing always fails to be the right one. They always check the book then. And they always say the same thing, "oh, that parts not available."

Can anyone PLEASE help me with a mount?

And if you could get your hands on more than one, let me know, because I would rather buy two now than have to look for one later.

If not, looks like I'm modifying the crossmember on another Camaro so mine will take the standard mount from now on...

I'll look into that, but no, mine just looks like a regular round rubber bushing. It DOES have a bolt through the center though. Thanks for helping out.

Someone in the chat had pointed me to an 89 Z28 also, I'll have to check into that one also.

And if anyone would happen to know offhand if I can mount the square one to my transmission without having to drill new holes on the tranny side of the mount that would save me an hour just to get the car up on stands and crawl under there just to measure it out and go all the way to the auto parts store to measure the mount.

If they match up, I'm probably going to just end up fabricating a crossmember to fit correctly so this never happens again.

But that sucks, to fab a member I have to get the bend out of a normal crossmember, and drill the new holes (or elongate the existing ones) and STILL gotta buy the mount.

Even then, I'm not sure it will work because my mount was scooted over a couple inches on the crossmember.

lol

Your trans mount is still available from the dealer, GM part# 14106633. Be prepared, list price is $167.60!

Yeah, I actually knew that^

In my eyes, this part still does not exist.

No way am I dropping 200 bucks on something I could fab up or find for 20 if someone has one on hand. lol

Thats what I'm gonna try and do (the square mount)

I have limited fab experience though, so I'm trying to make sure I get it right the first time.

I don't want the driveshaft angle affected too much, and the two mounts are VASTLY different in hieght because of how they mount to thier respective crossmembers.
