Flywheel Question

I am switching to a CFDF clutch when I do my motor swap and I know I should probably change the flywheel at the same time since it has already been resurfaced once. What is a good flywheel to go with??

Why not go with a new original. C/F also sells flywheels now too. Should you replace it if it was only cut once? I believe that C/F will want you to resurface it anyway, as you install your new clutch.

Well we are doing the install at my house along with the motor so I won't be able to resurface the current one so I figure I might as well get a new one anyway. So you think just a plain jane stock replacement will work best?

GM has two different flywheels, the standard 25lb one for L03 & LG4 models & a performance lightweight one at 16lbs for L69 & LB9 engines. (actually 4 different flywheels: 1 piece rms 25lbs, 1 piece rms 16lbs, 2 piece rms 25lbs & 2 piece rms 16lbs)

So I should go with a flywheel from a L69 or LB9 engine instead of one for the L03?

I would, but it's really up to you. The lighter flywheel might make it a little more difficult if you drive in a lot of stop & go traffic.
