Due to my new 3000 stall, slicks, and 3.73s I'm on the lookout now for a 12 bolt rear end now. Where did you 12 bolt guys get yours? Trucks? Older camaros? I don't really want to spend $2000+ for a Moser.
Any ideas appreciated thanks.

Well, its either buy an aftermarket one for $2000'ish or TRY to find one thats almost the same length then pay someone a ton of money to fabricate it to fit into your car - and even then it still wont be as good as an aftermarket one.

I agree! If you have to go 12 bolt....I recommend strange. I just got my 12 bolt from them and it's sweet! I waited for a gp thru Tbyrne and with 33 spline axles, 3.90 gears, chromoly 1350 yoke, buying a Detroit TrueTrac from Randy's Ring and Pinion and having it shipped to strange, full assembly, and truck freight; I have $2050 in it. Yes that's alot of coin....but it's not a cobbled together 30+ year old housing that's got a compromise rigged to get your torque arm to work. Plus it's got better housing ends, axles, center section, chromoly bearing caps with 1/2" bolts etc.
Plus...keep in mind that I was saving roughly $400 from what it would normally cost me thru them or moser and I was getting a better posi than what strange normally offers.
If your pockets require you to find a rear to modify to work....go with a 9" Ford. Much easier to modify.
