How long did ya go? I keep hearing how weak the 10 bolt is but I cant afford to go drop $2k+ on a 12 bolt Moser or Strange unit right now.
Just wondering on average how long I can prolong the abuse to my 10 bolt. Right now I have 28" MT street slicks with a 3.73 rear and 3000 stall on a stock ZZ4 motor.
Thanks.

I run the 28" ET STreets, 3.73 gears, 3500 stall and it has survived so far with a best 60ft of 1.69. The automatics are a bit easier on them than the manuals.

I was in the 1.6x range before I finally installed a 9". There was nothing wrong with the diff when I took it out. I switched to a 9" at the same time I installed a transbrake. I didn't think the tiny ring and pinion would have survived more than one hit off the transbrake. I ran into the low 11's with the 10 bolt.
