Okay here's the background. Had 91 tyranny(700r4)rebuilt in my RS along with TCI's extra 3rd4th gear clutch paks and a fairbanks piston servo kit and stock converter. Car is a 91 RS with a 305 TPI motor w/ heads,cam head,headers,etc.
Okay 3 years later but not more than 25k miles. Driving on interstate floor it to pass slow truck it free revs instead of gearing down from OD. Go home and check fluid sure enough a quart low. Topped off drove around block no more free rev out of OD. Since then tyranny has been kinda sluggish into D and OD. At start up somtimes I can hear a rattle and now car shutters in Drive. Been week since topping it off and it free revved trying to downgear out of OD again last nite
Soooo,think it the converter or trans itself???
