I'm about to pull the engine/trans from my 87 IROC to put in a little more powerful 355. I'm keeping the TPI(for now at least) and I have a 9-bolt with 3.27 gears. I plan on buying a ZZ4 cam to put in the new engine and want to order a new torque converter at the same time. I have run out of time to have a built 700R4 assembled so I plan to just buy a B&M Tork Master 2000 or 2400 for a short term solution. The cam will make power from 1500-5500 RPM's but the TPI should choke out around 5000 RPM's. That said what would I benefit more from a 2000 or 2400 stall?
