4th gen v6 T-5 into 3rd gen v8

I was reading some previous posts, and I couldn't find a straight answer, can you put a T-5 from a 4th generation v6 into a v8 3rd gen? Has anyone actually done this?

im sure someone will correct me if im wrong, but i think i read that the 4th gen t5 has a longer input shaft. I dont know about the spline count or gear ratios in it. I would like to do this swap myself, but thats all ive found out about it so far. I cant find a v8 model t5 around here anywhere!

Anyone? Bueller?
