Driveshaft for TH350 to TH400 conversion
well i know i have to cut the yoke of the 400 off and weld onto the 350 driveshaft and i believe the TH350 was a short shaft but when i just set the driveshaft up next to the torque arm to get a rough idea if it was the same size it looked like it was still too long... does anyone know exactly how long the driveshaft has to be from weld to weld for the TH400 tranny?

if it will help. i replaced 700 for a 400. i installed tha 400 slip yoke all the way in then backed it out 3/4 in. measured center to center on yoke. my stock shaft was to short so i pulled a larger dia. shaft from junk yard and had it cut total cost about $80.
