Local guy here runs 11.11's in the 1/4 mile on a stock 10 bolt. He has a pretty built lt1 with a 125 shot of nitrous. He has raced it a couple seasons with 10'' slicks on the 10 bolts. He said he can't believe its still alive. He blew a head gasket on the stock lt1 block so now its getting a built 383...I have a feeling the 10 bolt will be dead before long.

Guys running 11s are letting them live, while 13 second guys are breaking them. Stick shifts and sticky tires seem to spell "death" to these units. Ive seen some that lasted, but they always were in an auto equipped car.
I've chucked 3 rearends now out of my Automatic 97 SS. It's run a best of 7.67 in the 8th and usally 7.90's with drag radials. A strange 12 bolt now keeps the rear in place.
I think the times in the 1/4 mile would be like 11.90's-12.20's
So I highly doubt a 10 bolt will withstand anything faster than that for long
