Chaning the Drive Gear t-5

Alright I have asked and searched and I don't mind feeling stupid on this one. But can anyone tell me how I change the drive gear on a 1991 T-5? Is it the same as 700r4, just remove the tailshaft and go at it (I've done 700r4 twice)?

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
That's the basic idea, yeah. But it's a bit more involved than doing a 700R4. Easiest way is to remove the tranny from the car so can have some room to work at it. Some of the internal shift mechanism has to be undone in the tailshaft.

Well it doesn't look that easy. Actually just that roller pin scares me. It wouldn't be too be bad to do when I install my new rear because half of those things will be out of the way already.
