New Rear End

Hey guys,

I had a busted 9-bolt and am tired of the noises and the lack of performance, so I'm gonna get a new rear. I've been looking at Mark Williams 12 Bolt and Currie and Strange and Moser, and I think I like the Mark Williams best, coarse it's also the most expensive @ $2700. I have a friend who used to work there for like 10 years, so I might be able to make a deal, but I'd like your opinion.

Brett

Go to the salvage yard and find something. 12-bolt is a little overkill unless your car is a purpose built race car or in mint condition. I think any rear axle that worth more then the whole car is BS.

thanks for the advice, but the old rear end i got was from a junk yard and it broke after putting 700$ into the stupid thing, so i want to go overkill to make sure it doesn't happen again. Plus i want to be able to drive it like I stole it!

Get a 12 bolt from spohn.net. Should solve your problems. But it is going to cost you a pretty penny.

Thanks for the info, but I'm talking to the friend today and I'll let you know, for that price I might as well get it local, because Mark Williams is literally just a few minutes from my house so it could be local and I could talk to a person and not a machine.
