What rear ratio to use
I was wondering what would be a good gear ratio to use. I have a 83 Berlinetta that has estimated 300-325 hp, 357cid, that I just swapped the 700-r4 for a th350. I have a set of 3.73's that I was going to use with the 700-r4, but I think this will be a little to steep for the 3spd tranny. Also what gear did the car come with from the factory, it had a 305cid. I have an 82 plain jane coupe wiyh a 4cyl, 4spd manual parts car. I was also wondering what kind of tranny this is and what gears did it come with.
THANKS !!!

The 3:73s will really have the engine singing on the highway. Factory would have been a 2:73 or 3:08 maybe. I'd probably go with a 3:08 if you're on the highway much, 3:23 would be good for mostly town. Check the console or rear storage compartment for RPO codes on the 82, code starting with G would be the rear axle.
