2.73 to 3.23 - How much of a difference?

I've swapped and altered everything to do with my engine and converter. The only thing that I have yet to touch is the rear end gears. I'm currently running 2.73 and with my 2800rpm converter I feel it's a bit on the sluggish side leaving the line. If I changed to a 3.23 would I be able to leave the line with more pace that at the moment? Also, what is the difference in acceleration when the car is moving between a 2.73 and 3.23?

Thanks for any advice.

I'm in the same situation right now. I'll be going with the 3.42s. I think it will be a little better for the 1/4 mile situation. I was thinking about 3.23s but I dont think it will be worth the swap

I went from 2.77 to 3.27. Basically the same as you're thinking about. It makes a seat of the pants difference, but it's not too drastic.

3.42 would be nice, and if I wasn't planning a 6 speed swap, the 3.42s would be in my future. With the 6, well, I haven't even thought that far yet.

When you do it let me know how it goes, I'm going to once I paint my car next month so I'd like to have some input, especially since I'm in little old Leicester.
