i found this and love the price, but i have one question, whats the difference between 88 and 89? i have an 88 w/ a series 3 carrier w/ 3.42s. can i use this or not? is it made for the 28 spline shafts?

That would be the diffrence, you 88 will have 26spline axles, the 89+ have the 28spline.
