What the F*** is going on!?!?!?

my engine runs fine and dandy but every time you pu tmy car in gear it rides real rough then shuts off! its a TPI 350 adn i have no idea what tranny but its stock. im only 17 and have no idea about trans so i have no idea what happened! I need you guys help BAD!!!!! O! what happened was i was going down the highway and it just stopped accelerating! i pulled over and that was it! it cranks and revs it just as soon as you get it in gear it shakes bad then shuts off! Please Guys! i need dhelp now! its on th eside of the road and i havent even picked it up yet! i was about to cry cause of it! i love my car! HHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Axle/Gears: 3.73, 3.90, 4.88, 3.55, 3.54, 7.00
Sounds like the torque converter lockup clutch is stuck on. When you put it in gear it acts like a stick car if you were to take your foot off the clutch with the trans in gear while your foot was on the brake. The engine stalls.

You most likely need a new converter (unless there is somethign worng with the lockup circuit). I would also at least check the flexplate, or even just replace it along with the converter. That's an aweful lot of stress on it, and you don't want to put in a new converter just to have the flexplate fail. A new flexplate is about $75 I think, or PM me I think I have one...
