Reverse Gear

So ummm I dropped my clutch red lined in reverse... yes I now know that it was quite stupid, but for some reason I need to learn everything the hard way... Now my car wont go into reverse... it goes into reverse and then when I let off the clutch it pops into neutral... I tried manually holding the shifter and it stays in reverse but makes a lot of gear grinding noises... this there a way to fix this or do I need to either get a new tranny or have a car with no reverse gear?

You need to pull the trans and have it fixed. Something was damaged internally (reverse gear ont eh 1/2 slider, reverse idler, or the reverse teeth on the countershaft). I can fix it if you can't do it yourself. PM me.
