I'm happy with it EXCEPT for the 2-3 and 3-2 snap/bind shifts problem.

When the car shifts from 2-3 or 3-2 there is an instant where the 2nd band and the 3rd clutch pack is applied at the same time. This locks up the output of the trans and you feel a backwards jerk along with a loud clunk from the natural endplay in your rear end. At WOT you dont hear a clunk, you just feel a strange jerk backwards like somebody hooked a trailer to your car for an instant.

This problem is documented and, I believe Rbob is the guy who successfully fixed his. Do a search to find it....

I tore my rear end apart twice thinking I had too much backlash or something else wrong in the rear before I read these boards and found that the Transgo kit has an inherent problem in it.

Given the chance again I would have just put in a vette servo and tightened up the 3/4 clutch pack clearances and saved myself a hunk of cash.

If the 3-4 clutch pack clearance is too tight, or the 2nd gear band release hole is too small, then you can have this problem. This kit will not produce the results you have seen, except once in a great while. This kit can only do (assume) so many things to be correct before installation, & then there are always exceptions to the rule.
