What's the difference between TH350 and TH350C?

I have a buddy with a TH350C in a van and I have a TH350 in my drag racer. I'd like to only get one rebuild manual if these trannies are almost the same.

Does anyone know how they differ? I know the TH350C has lockup, but what else is different? Just the valve bodies or are the rotating assemblies different too? Thanks.

Just the valve body. Oh, and the input that feeds the lockup.

Torque converters aren't interchangeable between the two I believe, but I could be wrong.

Get a copy of Ron Sessions' Turbo Hydra-Matic 350
Handbook. It has all the info you'll need to rebuild both
transmissions. HPBooks-511 about $20.00 US.

The difference is that one gets bad highway mileage, and the other one gets really really bad highway mileage.

I just got done completely rebuilding the 350C.
The main thing I could tell is that there is an auxillary valve body with the lockup solenoid stuck to it on the TH350C. Also I saw in the Chilton manual that there is an additional check ball if you have lockup. I didn't rebuild the pump, but that probably had some lockup specific instructions as well.

Clutch clearances, bolt torques, and endplays seemed to be the same for both models.
