Gear mesh ?

Had to pull my rearend apart to replace the posi unit and thought maybe someone could tell me how the gears are looking so far. These have a couple thousand miles on them now and I thought the mesh pattern looked real good. Is it? Now is the time to change something before I put it back together.

i'd worry more about measurements than the contact pattern. you need marking compound to see where the gears are running.

Looks good from what I can make out, but ede is right you'd really need to show the pattern with marking compound, and measure backlash with a dial indicator.

.005"-.010" is the spec, so you're right there.
