housing prep for rebulid
I have a 10 bolt rear under constuction . Befor I took it appart I rinsed it whith kero and ran it , this worked nice . Now I have all the internal's out and there is some dabree in the tube's what can I do , can I spay any cemicales like break cleaner or degreser and then stuff the tube's with rag's and push through . Have air but I do not think this will cut it alone . Any do's and dont's

Yeah. Soak some rags in brake clean and ramrod them through the tubes into the pumpkin. Keep doing that until the rags come out clean. That's what I do. If you want to get really fancy you can debur the inside of the rear with a die grinder. This will keep small particles from getting trapped by casting flash. Just make sure you thouroughly flush the rear afterwards. If you want a measure of added strength continuously weld the tubes to the center section.

to the both of you . TKO your PM was very helpful I bleive I am in the clear . The welding of the tube's I am a little unclear of . Is this when you get the brace's that connect to the dif cover and weld to the housing . Supreme Member

If you look at the housing you will see that the tubes are made from steel, while the housing is cast. At the factory the tubes are pressed into the housing, and then plug welded. You can make the housing a bit stronger by running a weld bead around the tube and welding it to the housing. This will reduce housing flex by anchoring the tubes to the housing more firmly.
