TPI Performance Trans is great!

Well, I've had my new 700-R4 trans in about a month and a half now and what a difference from my turbo 350 I took out. The trans came from TPI Performance Transmission and the torque converter is a 2400 stall lock-up unit from SLP Performance. It's great too have the overdrive and yet this trans was built to take a beating. It was built to take about 500-600 horse power and since I'm no where near that it should live pretty good for me. I also put a B&M Super Cooler on and I used Bow Tie Overdrives TV made Easy systems to hook it all up. This trans has a very hard aggressive hit on the shifts unless you take it easy on the throttle, but get into the throttle and it will bark the tires hard. Also has the 3rd gear lockout in it to keep it in 4th once you"re in it. It will only come out if you pull the shifter back to 3rd or come to stop. You can run wide open throttle with this trans and never worry about it shifting down to 3rd. I would highly recommend this company's trans, but if cheap is what you want, then you may want to think twice. Good investment as far as I'm concerned.
