Supercooler with Fan

Is this just overkill for a street strip car, or would the fan and switch actually keep the tranny at the desired temp (175) and prolong the life and improve the performance of it?

Would it be effective with the fan, if it were mounted somewhere other than right in front of the rad. ?

You can mount it anywhere you want, w/in reason.
I've seen alot of people get the one w/o the fan, but they have to mount them where the air is going to get to them to cool it. So I say, get the one w/ the fan.

get a duel cooler/fan set up and run oil in one side and tran fluid in the other. takes up the same space, more or less, and same amout of wire, only extra would be oil lines and if you use a remote oil filter it makes it a lot easier, hell you can even use the same remote filter kit and put one on the trans side.
